Hi Paul:
You might want to check out Amazon's free tier (https://aws.amazon.com/free/)
of services (you can provision a low-end linux or windows machine on this)
as well as Azure (may be able to get a free trial). I've found both
services helpful and they make it easy to dive into a new server.
