[AccessD] odd shortcut problem

He should have permission -- they use shortcuts for all kinds of files on
the server. I'll ask him to create a shortcut to something else he has out
there, just to check.

Agree. I'd bet that he doesn't have create rights on the server directory
when logged in on the workstation, so he can't create the lock file.
