Keith,

  It really is not much different than if you were doing it from Access and
read/writing an external database.

 The only thing is that you need to open the database:

  Set daoDB = DBEngine.Workspaces(0).OpenDatabase(strDB)

  And you are off and running.  Examples of all the various logic can be

Thanks Rocky.  I'm going to have to go with vba code anyway (for other
functionality), so code to push it up is not a concern.  Just what I
googled, I could not find an example of code to get me going in the right
direction.  I'll look at the link you sent....maybe that can get me in the
right direction.  If there is a manual way to do this (within Excel)....I
can capture that in the code and modify for my needs.

It can be done with some VBA code. Actually, I discovered that anything you
can do with any of the Suite apps through the UI can be done in code. I
wrote an app once where I had code behind an Excel page which pushed data
into an access back end.

But if you don't want to go the code route this may help?
