[AccessD] Slow upload to Google Drive

I have been using Google drive for a few years, primarily to store my
photos off site. Worked a treat until...they replaced Backup and Sync with
Google Drive Desktop App. OK, bit of a learning curve but I got used to it.

But for the first time I have about 500 pics from a recent trip to
Yellowstone, Glacier, and other points, culled, edited, and ready to store
in the cloud.

But the upload is so slow it's essentially useless.

Does anyone know why this is so and if anything can be done about it?
