[AccessD] Lock File Problem

Dear List:

The guy who acquired my E-Z-MRP system suddenly has users experiencing a
problem where the lock files on the front end end are not deleted when the
user closes the app, and the back end lock file is not deleted when the
last user exits.  And they cannot be deleted manually as Access still has
an entry in the Task Manager which prevents a user from deleting the lock
file.

Apparently a known problem from what internet research I've done, and is
due to an update to O365, that was done last December.  And the users
reporting the problem are using O365.

I don't use O365 and so can't replicate the problem.  He doesn't have a
version of Office - 2010, 2013, etc. - to test on but my lock files are
disappearing as they always have - I'm using O2010.

Can anyone shed any more light on this problem and is there a way to roll
back updates like the previous versions of Access?
