[AccessD] Where do the MS 365 files live?

Consider the 365 as being 3 major component sets
The free to (almost) all .com for accessing cloud and phone storage
The installed on your pc (Offline)
And the paid for network access subscription apps

The installed on your PC set of the subscription apps are called 2016 and come
with the MS updates and ongoing installs of new features
Those features being subject to the users "not now' settings, and the MS rolling
rollouts - as in PC's with this ?? setup get it from date

There is a purchasable 2016, and 2019 an 2021 being (pretty much) a copy of the
2016 taken at specific dates they do not come with the ongoing feature updates

And .. there is the Pro, Pro plus, home, education, school (IT team? Managed
distribution onto the 'school' PC models, and, presumably the virtual systems
with Cloud OS based versions, as well as the fast stream options and 6 monthly
corporate IT/university type options for the E3, 5 etc licences.

So - the 2016 you have would be the offline versions of the 365
and Microsoft 365 is, AFAIK, currently just the new icons and licence terms
version of Office 365.

And if you had bought 2016, and then got 365, the purchased 2016 would
(probably) have been overwritten.

The 2007,2010 & 2013 (& for apple 2014?) versions can, again AFAIK, be installed
on systems running the other versions, providing the install was set to go to a
separate set of folders.
I have a main folder called \Apps\ and where possible set all additional
software to install into subfolders of that.

There is the problem with 32 bit versions not coexisting with 64 bit versions -
usually where the library's (.dll etc) get installed into the main Windows
folders, and do not have separate names for the different versions, as well as
the need for any programming you do (VBA) to be set to identify the version
being used, and select appropriate versions of the libraries that do have
different names for the 32 and 64 bit versions.

Susan,

Ok I will try that, but I would still like to know where the MS 365 files
live.
