There are the install on the PC - "No more features' versions
2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, & 2021
And the Mac versions
With the many variants -
Personal home family student educational academic, and the Pro ProPlus, Small
Business, Business, as well as the corporate versions
With the added facilities according to the version, variant, , and licence
versions E1 E3 E5 etc.

Then there are the online versions - with the cloud bases OS instance that runs
on the MS servers
And there is the subscription versions with the 365 denotation that MS is
continually updating, new functions, features and links to Onedrive etc. and
from which MS is taking occasional copies of and selling under the understanding
that they are based on the subscription version as-at-a-date in the indicated
year 2019 2021 etc. -
Note that the 2016 is what the subscription version was based on, and is the
number that is used for the subscription version installed on your PC, and
altered by MS on a monthly? - OK Ad-Hoc basis !

So when you subscribe to a 365 version -
You get what is called 2016 installed on your device as a stand-alone - runs
without web or server connection instance.
And you get the OneDrive linkage version - (.com ?)

OK that is now pretty much built into the OS -
You just have to subscribe to the storage rental needed to hold your data.
And - there is the .com versions that were included ads the online versions for
accessing files in OneDrive storage via the PC or tour Phone or pretty much any
device with a reasonable amount of RAM, storage, and appropriate browser link.

You can have different versions and variants installed on a PC
Primary point - either have 32 bit versions, or 64 bit versions
Main requirement is to tell the installer to use different folders for the main
application modules

Then to remember that fixes applied may change the file associations to the last
version that got updated
and setup a set of shortcuts to the particular versions either a Toolbar
structure - or in the SendTo folder
Note - shortcuts to the actual .exe not the shortcuts created by the install
process.

And beware of things like - Only 1 version of Outlook can be used - the latest
version
And links from other apps such as email
And not all are willing to process older versions files without converting them
to their own versions structure
And the many warnings about compatibility
And things like colour indexes
And foreign language associated actions
Such as getting a $ as the currency identifier when copying data formatted as
currency and having a £ - for GBP
And Date structure assumptions- is 1/2/3 the 2nd January or the 1st Feb?
And what year would 02-29-31 be?
Plus all the assumed, and early binding in scripts
As well as the communications link mode assumed.

And 2010 Excel had BI as a free addin
Annoying to those without the pro version of 2013

Re missing Access - could be that you need to create a shortcut to the .exe and
maybe check file associations
