[AccessD] MS 365 Upgrade to Family

Hi,

When I replied to Arthur's statement that he was starting to learn
LibreOffice I only wrote about how I prefer to install LibreOffice.
I should have added that I do not use its programming features and that I
gave up on using OpenOffice base even before I started using LibreOffice.
I failed to see a net benefit to using Base over Access (after my
once youthful optimism waned).
Stuart's advice to program with what your clients use is probably sound
wisdom!

I bought my Access licence at a time when buying it bundled with Microsoft
Office was NOT a requirement.
LibreOffice Writer is fine for writing specifications and exchanging them
with people who use Word.
LibreOffice Calc is fine for spreadsheets I like to write - i.e. lots of
formulae but no macros. It is also fine for exchanging formatted data with
Excel users even if they contain basic formulae. I've always assumed that
things like hexadecimal conversion functions were a LibreOffice optional
extension - and I've had no need to share those with anyone.
I have far less use for LibreOffice Impress (which is like PowerPoint) or
LibreOffice Draw, but they are also part of the free suite along with Base.
