Thanks Dan,

Great minds think alike - I have been doing all that for almost a decade
(with different colors but same concepts).

Hi Dave,

A while back I changed all the controls to Flat, rather than Sunken (Special
Effect property). This really makes the appearance easier to look at. I
also used colors on control labels and button text to indicate:

Locked - Blue
Required - Red
Optional - Green
System Entered - Black
Gray - Disabled (can't use yet, user does not have permission, etc.) In
this case the entire button is disabled.

I left the body color of all buttons to be the standard gray.

So, the form looks better and all the colors have meaning to users.

Good Luck!
Dan

Subject: [AccessD] Better Access GUI

Hi Listers,

I have an application that is being marketed to large corporations. The
comment that often gets in the way of a sale is that the GUI looks outdated
compared to other more modern applications they are using.

Apart from the "It doesn't need to look pretty to be functional" argument,
does any one have any suggestions for alternative Front-ends to Access? I
wouldn't be looking to learn how to program them myself, but would like some
suggestions so that when I seek a company to do the conversion I know a bit
about what they might be offering.

Regards
