[AccessD] Preventing Access To VBA Code

Just a note on Everything Access and the service to decompile a .accde into
a .accdb.

It is a service, not a software utility that you buy, and Wayne will not
offer that service lightly. You have to prove that you own the software.
So no worries there.

I'm not aware of anyone else either that has figured that out.

Jim.

Hi David

There are. Colin Riddington lists a long list of steps to take:

Emne: [AccessD] Preventing Access To VBA Code

Hi Listers,

I have implemented the following security measures to prevent users from
accessing the vba code and viewing object lists in my Access FE.
Access file saved aa an accde (prevents access to vba code).
Use Access Special Keys disabled (prevents Navigation Pane
being available by pressing F11).
Bypass Startup option disabled (prevents shift key being used
to prevent code from starting).

The objective is to stop someone getting into the code or any other parts of
the programe that they shouldn't.

Are there any holes in this strategy (apart from
https://www.everythingaccess.com/ who are able to decompile an accde but
they have a tool that makes this decompiled version harder to understand)

Regards
