[AccessD] Disappearing tabs

Dear List(s):

Working with an app in Access 2010, I choose in Tabbed Document and Display
Document Tabs on Document Window Options - Current Database - Access
Options.

Problem is that the tabs disappear and I have no way (thatI know of) to
switch between tabs or close a window.

Is there a way to keep that Display Document Tabs selected, or a workaround?
