Uncheck ANSI NULLS and ANSI WARNINGS settings on your DSN.

OK, the only place that seems to have any settings is the User DSN 
tab.  But there is nothing to indicate sort orders (or much else).  Part of 
the problem is that I am not sure what I am looking for?
