[dba-SQLServer] Back up DTS local packages

to backup up DTS packages make a backup of the msdb, if you are looking 
to also transfer them to some other server then take a look at DTS backup
http://www.sqldts.com/default.aspx?6,105,242,0,0

note: you still have to do some editing because of location server name 
and such things...
