[dba-SQLServer] SQL Server 2000 Compatibility with Windows Server 2003

I'm trying to gen a system to try Microsoft's Commerce Server 2002.  I can  
gen what
looks like a good Windows Server 2003 Web Edition.  When I try to install
SQL Server 2000,  I get the first two screens that select the data base  
engine.
Then, I get the little Verisign box(I think it was), then nothing.  I've  
tried
a licensed Standard edition and an Evaluation Enterprise edition.  Same  
result.
The Commerce Server 2002 documentation clearly indicates that Win Server  
2003 and
SQL Server 2000 is an acceptable configuration.  Can anyone advise on how  
to get
it installed?  jif
