Brilliant Arthur I will give it a go and pass it on to our resident SQL guru Darren ------------------------------ T: 0424 696 433 -----Original Message----- From: dba-sqlserver-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-sqlserver-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Arthur Fuller Sent: Monday, 27 February 2006 12:36 AM To: dba-sqlserver at databaseadvisors.com Subject: Re: [dba-SQLServer] Include data in Generate SQL Script For this sort of thing, I use dbScripter. Google that or "DKS Advanced Solutions, Inc." This product will let you script out any database in a variety of ways, including selective tables. It will write both the DDL and the Insert statements. And you can target the receiving DB, so that certain data types will be converted to the types expected by the receiver. I have been using it for years, and it is rock-solid. Select certain tables in the original dB and to to have the data in those tables included in the "Generate SQL script"? Make sense? Many thanks Darren _______________________________________________ dba-SQLServer mailing list dba-SQLServer at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/dba-sqlserver http://www.databaseadvisors.com
