LOL, well I never said it was installed correctly. There is a TON of stuff
that I just told I did but didn't do.

But it seems to run.

SBS is installed dual boot to XP. SBS is the default in the dual boot menu.
SBS seems to run just fine. It is giving me a message "at least one service
didn't start" which I still have to investigate.

Server 2003 appears to have at least one advantage over XP, which is that it
supposedly can really use all of 4 gb (the max I can currently install on
this MB). If that is true I will also order another 2g of RAM for this
machine since it is up to it's eyeballs in a huge database.

I did install all of that remote access stuff. It had terminal admin
checked I think. As for actually getting past the firewalls... We shall
see.

I am in the XP system now detaching the database from SQL Server there.
Rebooting into 2003 to attach there.

Is there any way to get a status from SQL Server re progress when it is
doing something like a shrink operation, building a new field or index etc?
Any way to tell how much is done, how long remaining etc?
