Eric, I am in the object explorer. I have to drop down the "connect" and then perform a connect. So basically I register them all then just double click the registered server to connect to it. With both the Registered Servers window and the Object Explorer window pinned, that works well. Thanks, John W. If you are in Object Explorer view you can right click on the server icon and then select Register. When SQL Management Studio loads it doesn't "remember" any connections in the Object Explorer view but it does remember the registered servers. -----Original Message----- From: dba-sqlserver-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-sqlserver-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of jwcolby Sent: Monday, June 11, 2007 8:10 AM To: dba-sqlserver at databaseadvisors.com Subject: [dba-SQLServer] SQL Server 2005 - Keeping servers registered Whenever my laptop is rebooted, I lose the connected servers, i.e. I have to go connect manually to whatever servers I had already connected to before the reboot. Is there a way to have the last connected servers "refreshed or already there? I seem to remember that it worked that way in the past, no se why not now. John W.
