If you're looking for tools I would check out the toolbelt from Red-Gate software http://www.red-gate.com/index.htm For standardizing your existing code you can use the sql refractor tool, but to build new queries quickly with intellisense-like technology, then use sql-prompt. I really do enjoy this tool.
