Subject: [dba-SQLServer] Indexes Question

In SQL you can create a compound index and you can also create included
columns, and you can do both. What is the difference between them? When
should a column be part of the index key and when should it be an included
column? Is there any point to including a bit column in a compound index?

TIA,
Arthur
