Arthur, Just curious, why do you keep asking the same question under different subject-lines? You asked this question in slightly different manners under the subject "Covering Indexes", and "Pointless Indexes" - I answered both, but you didn't respond. Now the question reappears as "Index Question". Why not stick to the original thread and let people know if answers given are useful for you?
