[dba-SQLServer] SQL Server - (In Recovery)

What does (in recovery) mean when next to a database name in the management studio.

I have two databases that show (in recovery).  One if them I was actually working in, the other I 
wasn't.

I am not finding anything on Google that explains what it means.
