Stuart,

I'm looking in the ODBC administration window but cannot seem to find the appropriate menu for the quoted identifiers.  Could you point me in the right direction?

The OBDC DSN should contain a parameter "Use ANSI Quoted Identifiers:"
Set it to Yes and No and see what happens.
