Dunno why I am suddenly getting this spoofing warning message when I post to this address.
" This sender failed our fraud detection checks and may not be who they appear to be. Learn about spoofing at http://aka.ms/LearnAboutSpoofing"
Just started the other week and I don't get it on any other mailing lists I post too. More annoying right now - sorry folks.
Cheers
Darryl.

Thanks for that Jim. To be frank, I am going to have to do some homework on what that all means, but I appreciate you details you provided and giving me somewhere sensible to start to look into this.
Cheers
Darryl.

Hi Gustav:
Ignore all the following if you already know this. RedHat and Connical are the companies that are being paid to build a Container system that will function within the Microsoft environment...it has been a staple in Linux since 2000. Docker is just the Linux company that built the first simple user interface...before that assembly was done at the command prompt. CoreOS, is a specialty Linux distro which allows clusters of containers to be deployed across the internet.
Correct me if I am wrong but aren't Microsoft containers being deployed via the Hyper-V server?
If the ExpressSQL has been Containerized it means that it should be able to be deployed across all platforms, not have to be installed as traditionally done, not be as resource intensive as being within a VD and should be able to connect to any database via standard protocols. I look forward to hearing more details.
Jim

Hi all
This has been announced:
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/dataplatforminsider/2016/10/13/sql-server-2016-express-edition-in-windows-containers/
I must admit that, though I have heard of Docker, I've never heard of "Windows Container feature enabled".
