[dba-SQLServer] Best version of SQL Server Express to use?

We are moving to 2016 at work.  Only thing that might be an issue is that
2016 needs Server 2012+ or windows 10+.

I have a client that wants to move to SQL Server.  The latest version I have
been using is 2012.

 

Is there any reason not to upgrade to 2016 SP1?
