[dba-SQLServer] Informal Poll

Are your priorities described by your clients or yourself? Just curious.
Full disclosure: I haven't had a new client in more than a year, and my
decisions are entirely based on their infrastructure: if they are a Windows
shop, then I suggest Access and a MS-SQL back end; but if they're mote open
to discussion, then I recommend Ubuntu or Mint on the server, and there are
many ways to connect from the desktops. Which is not to say that I know
everything, but merely that these solutions are relatively painless,
perhaps not optimal, but easy to deliver.
