I'm not sure what chipset you have, but on my 815 chipset (running an 800MHz pIII), it does not support more than 3 sides of RAM. Could this be affecting you also? I thought I'd treat myself and upgraded my pc with some more RAM last night. I replaced the 512mb it had with 1gb. But the pc is only seeing half of the memory. I checked that all the chips were working by pulling them out in turn, and each time it reported 384mb, instead of 778mb. It's definitely only seeing half of the ram. I'm running a Pentium 3 500mhz (133fsb) (Slot 1) on a Soyo SY-6vba133 motherboard, with a 3 month old updated BIOS. I originally had 2 x 128mb dimm, and 1 x 256mb, I now have 4 brand new 256's. Any ideas, cos I've never seen this before. I'm used to windows losing 1mb or so, but this is a new one on me. Jon The information in this e-mail is confidential and may also be legally privileged.
