Thanks for replying Erwin.

Points 1 & 2 - thanks for the ideas. Will think about those.

Point 3 - mmm. I take your point, but my gut instinct is that it'd take a
strong nerve. Doesn't everyone, for example, insist that floppy disks are
virus scanned before going near the network? Isn't that the same principle?
Shouldn't one make every attempt not to let anything infected connect to the
network rather than connecting and then allowing the av software to shout?
I'm not sure of that, I'm just wanting to tap into others' experiences and
asking for feedback.
