If it's any help, I've not heard of PCI-X... only PCI Express. And I know
that already it's getting fairly hard to find motherboards with AGP graphics
on them any more.

Group,

Does anyone know what the real-world, end user differences are between
these two specifications? Is this a hardware interface difference, or
merely a software difference? Which is more popular, or seems to be
more heavily supported? Any downsides to either?

Many questions, I understand, but perusing the specifications
themselves doesn't give me a feel for how the market is responding.
