I have a Windows XP machine in my hands right now, I did a chkdsk c: /F and while it did go out and scan everthing, when I went to attempt a SP2 update some files could not be backedup when I clicked on the files to manually back them up I received the CRC error message for these files.... I thought ChkDsk is supposed to fix these things... am I wrong? -- -Francisco http://pcthis.blogspot.com | PC news with out the jargon!
