Does it still do bad things to Excel vba projects? There have been numerous issues mentioned on the Excel mailing list I'm on. I've recently tried the MS desktopsearch, which works, is fairly fast and can also search a networkshare, however it caused my start button to flicker while it indexes. and while it does index it causes the running system to bog down. Yahoo's x1 search tool is also nice, but again... a pig. finding files takes a long time, and there is no easy way to turn of the preview. Copernic's desktopsearch tool is fast at indexing (if you allow it to index overnight, and allow it to consume full cpu usage). if you are indexing certain filesizes that are over 40mb then it will definatly just crap out.
