I use Sophos on all my PCs. Currently licensed for 10 PCs for 3 years. (Consumers with single PCs are not their target market.) Why Sophos? Because they - - are always bang up to date (once a day is NOT often enough, as some people on the AccessD list discovered awhile back) - never give time-wasting false positives - just work, silently and efficiently - never cause me any problems - have free 24/365 support (which I have never needed) And I or my clients over the years have had problems of one sort or another with Norton and McAfee (and others); these problems are boring and time-wasting. Sophos may cost a bit more, but it saves me money! And no, I don't work for them, etc. John > -----Original Message----- > From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com > [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of > John Bartow > Sent: 25 May 2005 15:22 > To: 'Discussion of Hardware and Software issues' > Subject: RE: [dba-Tech] Antivirus Software - Who do we like, > who do we notlike? > > > I got their trial software a couple of years ago but t was > cost prohibitive for small businesses.
