I think I've used about 2 dozen ASUS/Athlon combos and they are all good. I use that combo in the higher end workstations and servers. I used the MSI MBs when I needed to cut the overall cost down. I've also used some Soyos and a couple of other lesser knowns but only for home use. Got them because the were cheap. I'd use ASUS again in a heartbeat. -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Bryan Carbonnell Sent: Tuesday, January 24, 2006 9:28 AM To: Discussion of Hardware and Software issues Subject: Re: [dba-Tech] Reliable mobo maker for Athlon? When I build my PVR, I'm more than likely going to go with and ASUS MOBO again. -- Bryan Carbonnell - carbonnb at gmail.com Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "What a great ride!" _______________________________________________ dba-Tech mailing list dba-Tech at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/dba-tech Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com
