[dba-Tech] Gmail as spam filter

I have a Gmail account picked up in 1994 and never used, full of spam though
including 16 spams in the in box.

So how do you direct gmail to pick up email from a pop mail account?  I am a
little leery of doing this because I use no-ip to do alternate port email
form me (not use port 25) so that I can send emails through cable vendors
that block port 25.  

How would I cause Gmail to pick up my mail, and then use my email client to
get it from Gmail, and in particular delete the email in Gmail inbox when it
is picked up by the email client?
