[dba-Tech] Remote Assistance

I tried one time to do this with my sister-in-law and failed to get the
connection (over the internet). I know nothing at all about this program
except that it is designed to gain control of another machine in order to
provide remote assistance to the remote machine, which implies remote
control.

When I tried it here, I sent an invitation from Machine #2 to machine #1.
Machine #1 accepted and the connection status says "Connected/Screen View
Only". So I'm trying to figure out a way from machine #1 that I can
view/copy/alter files in Machine #2. I don't know the program well enough
to feel perfectly comfortable with it. Do you know how #1 can control #2?

TIA

Rocky

Remote assistance is designed to allow someone to remotely control a
machine. You can control his machine, or he can control yours. Since the
software runs on your machine he would have to control your machine which
you do not want.

I have a prospect in Ecuador that would like an on-line demo. I suggested
Remote Assistance since we've both got it. I just tested it on two of my
boxes here and it seems pretty easy.

He' saying that I should issue the invitation to him. When I made the
connection it was view only. What I'm wondering is if there's a way for him
to see anything in my machine other than what's on my screen.
