[dba-Tech] Adware -- Lavasoft

Jon -- I do that, and I save it in the appropriate file. But that signature
file doesn't seem to update. Of course, that doesn't mean that adware's not
using it -- I just found it curious and didn't know really. 

Yesterday when I tried to download the latest update file, it wouldn't work.
:( Got a white screen with a little red x in the corner. I'm sure it'll work
if I can just find the right option to set.

If you go to www.lavasoft.de, you can manually download the latest
definitions, it's a small zip file which you unzip and extract the contents
to the rogram files folder. Then you can be sure that it's using the latest
ones.

I've been using Lavasoft's Adware for a long, long time. I download the
updated definition files, but I'm not sure it uses them. The signature file
that displays at the very bottom of the window is 029-1.06.2002. I'm
assuming that the 2002 is a year. I just noticed this the other day. I hate
to think I've been using it all this time with an outdated def file. I
checked the configuration and it's pointing to the right folder.
