[dba-Tech] PC problem

I heard a story in my very early days that the number base 16 should
actually be named sexadecimal.  But IBM couldn't handle that. So they called
it hexadecimal. 

Can you imagine interpreting sex codes? Or displaying something in sex? Or
referring to sex digits?

Your lucky most old IBM programmers had to amputate two toes on each foot,
so they could count in Hexadecimal.
