[dba-Tech] Word TOC page numbering

I think I asked this already, but if so, I missed any possible answer. So I'll ask again. How can I tell Word's TOC generator to ignore all pages prior to the TOC? It seems to want to include the Title page and so on, which is silly. I suppose I want the same thing to hold for my index, too, but I haven't got that far yet.

Ideally:

Title
Copyright
TOC (i, ii, iii, iv, etc.)
Actual Contents (1, 2, 3, etc.)

Hoping someone's got the answer,
