D925XECV2 doesn't sound that old - not still under warranty by any chance? How long had it been in service? Now please satisfy my curiosity and tell us what the *old* motherboard was... By the way, you're a day ahead of the rest of us! ;-) John -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Jon Tydda Sent: 29 March 2007 00:23 To: 'Discussion of Hardware and Software issues' Subject: Re: [dba-Tech] PC problem Right, I've just finished installing the new Motherboard (Gigabyte 965P-DS3/S3) and graphics card (Gainward 7600GS Bliss 256mb RAM) and it's all lovely... No green lines, no problems. Took me two hours to install the hardware, and another two hours to get the software running again, which involved ANOTHER Repair Install, but I'm back online again! :-) Thanks to everyone who suggested a fix Jon -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Gary Kjos Sent: 19 March 2007 21:30 To: Discussion of Hardware and Software issues Subject: Re: [dba-Tech] PC problem Quad core!
