That might be true, but the "fixing computers by swearing at them" stall is going to be a bit empty! Now, when you pray while you're pushing the Start button, it probably will! Have fun! I am ready for that (I guess). I am going to have a router and can put it on the network. I will really just say a prayer at the opening (remember this is a church group) that WHS doesn't have any problems that needs my attention. ;-) What I am trying to do is give out church members a place where THEY can learn how to do stuff on their own computers, using what I know. I am accumulating a bunch of the "gotta have" programs, everything from malware checkers to Avs, firewalls and even things like Hamachi and VNC. I will then show them whatever they need to know, including how to add memory (or test it with Memtest086 disks I have made) - stuff like that. We shall see, and I hope I am not overwhelmed the first night. There are a LOT of people who have no clue how to do stuff and I don't want to work on each person's computer at their house. Maybe I can start a little "self help" group there. John W. Are you ready for that? -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of jwcolby Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2008 12:54 PM To: 'Access Developers discussion and problem solving'; 'Discussion of Hardware and Software issues' Subject: [dba-Tech] PC Information A few weeks ago someone recommended a really sweet program that displayed pretty much everything system related that you would ever want to know in a little windows utility. Of course I cannot find the email anywhere, nor the program (though I did download it and look at it). I am getting prepared to do a free "computer repair" workshop at my Church Friday night and need this thing! Does anyone remember what it was? John W.
