I've got an excel macro that searches a specific folder and subfodlers and
lists tracks by artist and album... I just use that to find things out. Qith
the 65gb of music I have, it's quicker than waiting for WMP to do it's
thing.

Shortcut I've got but the mp3 files are all Artist-Title. When I want a
title and can't remember the artist I use the windows search.

I should probably just write a small Access app to do this. Find be keyword
and shell to Media Player.

You could have a shortcut to the folder on your desktop, double click on
that then window button & F?

Can't think how to set the search default though, but it's is 1:15 am, and
Ive had a cold drink or three :)

O. Windows. Start-->Search-->For Files or Folders-->All files and
Folders-->Look In. It's the Look In I want to change. Right now it
Folders-->says
Local Hard Drives (C:;D:;G:). I'd like it to default to c:\My Music or
maybe c:\My Music\Pop.

TIA

Rocky

Dear List:

On my music computer when I do a search for a tune I have to click Browse
drill down to the music folder before putting in the search criteria. Is
there a way to change the default search folder?

TIA

Rocky
