They're pushing Ghost 12.0 today for free. Watch the ads through - the Norton deal comes round every 4-6 weeks seems like. Hi Rocky, Yes that was a great deal! And now it's sold out at Frys. :-( Dan -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Rocky Smolin at Beach Access Software Sent: Friday, February 01, 2008 1:09 PM To: List Subject: [dba-Tech] Norton! I lost my Ghost 10.0 disk. Not like me. But yesterday Fry's had a Norton Internet Security 2008/Ghost 12.0 package deal - $70. After rebates...$0. Price was right. So I got it, loaded the Ghost, did my backup. Now I've got this Internet Security 2008 thing as well as a Partition Magic 8.0 CD (all part of the package). I'm using AVG and Sygate which seem to work well and have Comodo on the list to try. Trash 'em? Use 'em? Has Norton gotten any better since the days when they were really intrusive AND shaky? Is Partition Magic a good product? And, if so, what's it good for?
