The closest I have come to something like this is called Belarc Advisor. However, it doesn't tell me much about the RAM except which slots are filled/empty and what the size in each slot is. See below. 1024 Megabytes Installed Memory Slot 'A0' has 512 MB Slot 'A1' has 512 MB Slot 'A2' is Empty Slot 'A3' is Empty -----Original Message----- From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Arthur Fuller Sent: Thursday, February 28, 2008 3:05 PM To: Discussion of Hardware and Software issues Subject: [dba-Tech] RAM question Is there a way to tell what kind of RAM is installed in a box without opening it? I'd like to know the type of RAM, the size of the modules, the speed, etc., and determine all this while the box is running. Even better, although I don't expect it, would be to know how many slots are available. I'll tear the box open if need be, I guess, but it's a hassle I'd rather avoid.
