[dba-Tech] Word rulers

I thought Word had a snap-to ruler feature, but I can't figure out how to display them. I want to drop in a few guidelines for positioning graphic elements. The gridlines, in this case, aren't really helpful. I just need a couple of drop in guidelines -- is that possible in Word?
