Can anyone help me get the drivers for this Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 900? Now I'm trying to get the display driver but am having trouble. On the invoice it's listed as Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 900. I found two driver packages on the Intel site. Neither will install - one says missing file, the other says not the right resources or something like that. I know there's a program out there which will identify the hardware but I can't remember what it is. But if I could get the display adapter driver installed I think I'd be mostly back in business. That should have the video, printer, network, pointer, USB drivers on it, no? But no drivers. Have to figure out what hardware I've got and install the drivers. But that's still a bit of a mystery. The only solution for me was...if you can boot...reformat the sucker and start over. First, though...collapse and re-construct the partitions, via FDISK. Then hard boot and begin your install of WinXP...should work. Dunno what that damned thing is...it's not a "boot sector infector"...but it's a dumbass and thoroughly damaging bug of some sort that really farkles the OS. Usually, crap like this is embedded in a file somewhere on your disk... Since you were about to do this anyway...your priorities just changed, that's all. Sorry...but that's all I have to offer. Got a couple warnings from Sygate that something was trying to get to the internet, stopped that, rebooted and got the Blue Screen of Death. Rebooted pressing F8 to get some boot options but non e work - neither Safe Mode nor Last Known Good Configuration. Tried booting from Norton Ghost and recovering from the last time I ran Ghost - about 3 weeks ago, but no soap, appears to recover then BSD again. Booted from the Windows Pro XP disk - gets just so far on reinstall and then BSD again. If I can get it booted up I might be able to scan and clean the problem. But I'm not opposed to reformatting the HD. Had it on the project list for this machine anyway but would have probably backed up a few things first. But I can't even run the recovery disk that came from Dell. Any ideas?
