I've quit using and have replaced AVG on all of my customer's PCs. It uses a lot of resources and just isn't effective any longer. If you can't afford the best security (Vipre) then I recommend Avira's free AV. Avira uses about 3 times as many resources as Vipre and isn't as effective at preventing infections but it does clean infections very well.
