Hmm. So you select CD as the boot device and then what happens?

Does the CD boot and then complain about the hard drive it detects after that?  Can you persuade the Wind Setup CD to delete the partition on the hard drive and then recreate them?

Can you drop the drive in another system box and reformat it there?

BIOS has a password which I havnt got!

But F12 brings up a boot menu with CD listed as 1

A missing NT loader should not prevent you booting from CD, assuming the computer is itself *capable* of booting from a CD. So I'd suggest checking your BIOS to make sure it really is trying to boot from  CD.

I screwed up an OS install. Windows and now I get NTLDR is missing and cannot boot from CD. I also get an error when I rerun the Windows setup CD. Its driving me nuts.

Nothing I do seems to boot this thing. Any help appreciated.
