Or you could stay with Windows XP -- Dell has that as an option as well on certain models. For $90 you get a dual core Pentium verses a single core Celeron. It's running at about the same clock speed but will be a lot faster. The Dual Core front side bus speed is 800 verses 667 for the celeron. That is the speed to the RAM I beleive. So every time you hit RAM you will be a bit more than 10% faster. And that happens often. And you get another gig of RAM. 2 verses 3 GB. Double the hard drive space at 320 verses 160GB. Seems like a no brainer for me. Option #2. I'd spend another $30 on the upgrade to Vista Home Premium.
