I like it, it's (MUCH MUCH) faster and less crashy than IE7. It also opens several threads in task manager, so if one's getting a bit on the large side, you can close that thread. Given the opportunity, it'll still use over a gigabyte of RAM, but you can close that leaky thread and open it again. It's a vast improvement on 7. However... Lots of pages still don't work with IE8 yet, so you have to run them in "compatibility" mode, which works fine, unless you use ad-blocking software such as Ad-Block Pro. Pages won't display, and the ad-blocker just doesn't work properly. I've had to disable it, and am waiting for them to release a compatibile version.
