I've got it loaded up and it looks good. I'm a little reluctant to upgrade
my primary development box which is still XP. I've got the RC and it will
be going away in March unless I want to buy my own. Any idea how much
they'll be asking for it? Will us RC guys get a break?

My secondary backup box is Vista Ultimate and it works OK although I don't
do too much work on it. Mostly music.

The W7 is on a third box - an Athlon X2 4400 with 2GB RAM.

Subject: [dba-Tech] Some of the cool features with Windows7

TechRepublic just posted this list of cool features from Windows7:
http://i.techrepublic.com.com/downloads/dl_10_win7_tools.pdf. I have been
working with the product for a few days and think MS might just have done it
right.

Was working last night installing Server2008 Enterprize edition with a
friend. We just installed the 'core' version and am now are using just a
command inetface. Somehow I feel right at home... ;-) The foot-print is a
lot smaller and the performance, whether it is an illusion or not, seems a
lot faster.
