Well, that apart, you will still enjoy it purely as a TV.
I have to say that there are days when I never even turn the TV on.
But when I do, I enjoy something I never had before in any TV.  Bigger
IS better. IMO of course.

It most certainly will have an HMDI and will be there waiting for you
when you upgrade the Laptop.

There is a cable-len limitations on the HDMI cable - I think it is a
couple of metres or thereabouts.
